While these sunglasses and scientific principal may be used for many purposes, a simple magic effect would be:

• The mentalist may be escorted off stage
• A spectator may place a coin, bag of gold/treasure or other object in one of 3 black boxes or plastic bags.
• When the performer returns he can determine which bag or box contains the hidden object. He may also be able to tell the audience what the object is.

As you can see, only your imagination will limit the magical effects which may be performed with these X-Ray sunglasses.

The performer begins by displaying four (gold, silver or platinum) coins at his fingertips. He then tosses them, one by one through the air where they seem to vanish only to be heard arriving across the room. Each coin visibly penetrates an inverted tumbler, landing in a mouth-up shot glass. The effect is visible, audible and sensational. It's not a new effect, of course.

Conradi, Martinka, and, more recently, Kline issued wonderful versions. But before now, the glasses had to be carefully mounted on a wooden base and held by the performer or his assistant. That's just not the way we wish to do it. We think the glasses should rest on a beautiful English tea service tray. We think you ought not to go anywhere near the tray and glasses.

The entire effect is self-working - no sleights, no assistants. Because everything is controlled from a transmitter the size of a matchbook, you are free to 'choose the moment.'

Most importantly, the coins can be shown to be made of real precious metal (gold, silver or platinum).

This effect may be performed bare chested, without a shirt. But, most audiences would prefer the performer to simply roll up his sleeves to display his bare forearm  and hand.

The front and back of your hand may be shown slowly and cleanly to be completely empty. Then the performer slowly makes a fist and when the hand is re-opened, a coin is produced from thin air. The coin may be examined and/or tested to prove that it is real.
